Aux input interface for GM RDS ready radios with 12 pin input plug.... the same as the GM9-Aux only for the 12 pin plugs on 02-up RDS radios...i have checked other suppliers but found their harnesses to be slightly different in application or protocol.... PAC makes a 12 pin Aux interface but you have to have the Aux function already  on and being utilized ( OEM video or external CD changer, etc )  whereas PIE's harness you do not...it generates it's own class II turn on circuit.....

i need it for a job i just did with mobile video... i used the supplied modulator but the customer would prefer to make use of the Aux circuit on his OEM radio ( makes sense to me )

You may run into a problem using the GM12 adapter with a factory video system.  I tried installing the Kenwood version on my 2004 Chevy Venture w/ fac DVD system.  PIE stated it was compatible (the one I purchased).  After about a month of tech support calls and returning the adapter to be tested, it was not compatible.

Soundgate makes the itentical adapter and they state that it is NOT compatible with 2003 and 2004 GM vehicles with factory DVD.

Instead, I purchased the PIE X3 adapter.  It hooks in line with the DVD player and overrides the DVD audio and gives you 3 RCA aux inputs.  It also comes with a controller for swiching from DVD to any of the 3 inputs.  The only drawback is you have to keep a DVD or CD on the DVD player in order for it to work.  But is works and sounds great.  It costs about $100.
