Installing a system on Friday on my 02 tacoma and had two questions

1) how did you guys get your power wire through the firewall. Is there some spot or do I have to drill a hole and get a grommet?

2) Also, does a 2002 tacoma have the brackets on the side to mount the stereo. Thinking about buying the generic Metra pocket or maybe one from the dealer. The stock stereo is a din and a half I think. I don't want to buy the big kit just for a single din stereo.

Thanks in advance

There are two gromets on either side of the fire wall.  Use those or drill your own.

Its a double-din Radio.  It uses Iso-Mount Bracket System.  A metra pocket will work fine...also much less expensive than Toyota.

Thanks man. I'll think I'll try to jam the 4 gauge the grommet on the batterey side. You mean the ones with factoruy wires in it right?

So will the 02 (ISO mount bracket) accept two single din radios (that is a stereo and EQ)? Can I use the brackets and not buy anything? Can I bolt up two single dins to the bracket I should say?

 Thanks.
