I've been doing lots of research on MP3 CD players and I think I'm going to go with one of these units.
I've read a few reviews and apparently in some vehicles it's basically impossible to read the display on the 9827 during the day in direct sunlight. How often is this the case? Should I be especially worried about this?
Is this also an issue with the 9830?
The 9827 will cost $260 while the 9830 will cost $330. (These prices are with free shipping and free installation kits/instructions.)
Would it be a waste of money to jump up to the next model?
One thing you might want to know is the fact that I don't actually have much of a system in my car. I will be using all stock speakers and no external amp.
Basically I just want an MP3 CD player that has excellent MP3 playback and display functionality.
Any info regarding my situation would be much appreciated. Thanks!

the diff between the 2 is that the 9830 has a motorized face for better visability by simply changing the angle of the face, , and it also has digital time correction which is a function that delays the signal from your closest speaker just enough so that the sound from your farthest speakers all hit your head at once.

If you just want mp3 go for the 9827, , they both have the same amp so there's no sound diff, , just fancy stuff you may or may not want.

Well my main concern is that display problem during daylight. I was hoping the different display on the 9830 could help solve it.
Also, doesn't the 9830 have 4 EQ presets while the 9827 has none?
I'm considering buying the 9830 from SonicElectronx.com to save a ton of money versus purchasing it from Crutchfield.
If I do this, I'll lose the chance to try it for 30 days so I really want to make sure this unit will be right for me.
