Hi, I have a 98 Honda Civic LX with just a standard radio and I'm looking to hook up a CD player to this for now, before I can actually replace the entire receiver.

Does anyone know if this model has a hidden aux input anywhere? Or any ideas on how I can connect a portable CD player?

The Civic has no such option, nor does any OEM radio that I know of. The only way you can hook up a portable to run off the OEM system is to buy one of those cassette adaptors 98 honda civic ...aux input? -- posted image. The best thing to do is if you want to keep the OEM stereo is to purchase a FM modulator changer or if keeping the OEM system is not a priority, then you can buy a new indash CD player. They're cheap now ...under $ 150 for a decent one from Alpine, Pioneer or Panasonic 98 honda civic ...aux input? -- posted image.

There are some OEM units that have AUX inputs - actually they are CD changer inputs. They want to sell you THEIR (usually overpriced 98 honda civic ...aux input? -- posted image.

) CD changer. I was able to reverse engineer my factory head unit (MAZDA Protege) and use the CD changer input as a Line-IN for a MP3 player! Check out my page. I'm sure it's different for your car, but you may enjoy the info, or find a way to adapt it for your car.
