ok i got a kenwood 719 230 watt mono amp at 2 oms running the new kenwoods 12s that are i believe 125 rms. now i can get a 16 volt 1/2 F rockford cap for pretty cheep but i dont know if its with it considering its a small amp. would i hear an improvement from a 1/2 F or should i go up to a full F or just leave it alone????

thanks

The ½ farad cap is good up to 500 watts. But if you can get the 1 farad because it’s probably not that much more in price and has more power . And amps love power the more power you give them the more they like it and in return they give you a cleaner  sound. However to answer your question if you do not notice your lights dimming when the bass hits then you probably don’t need one.
