I recently purchased an amp integration harness for my 04 dodge ram 1500 so I could keep the stock amp and speaker in place (until the warranty expires).
I hooked everything up and with the volume all the way up on my Kenwood z910dvd, it was not even close to the stock volume. Sounds more like half of what I was getting with the stock deck. The Kenwood was removed from my 01 dodge ram and everything was working great. I checked all the settings on the Kenwood and all were ok. Anyone use the amp integration harness or know of any known problems? Any help or ideas would be appreciated.

you were probably running the Kenwood in your previous vehicle high level utilizing the built in deck power.... not pre-out....  you may need to look at a pre-amp line driver or line amp to bump up the signal before it gets to the OEM amp... this should recitfy your problem.....

a lot of the OEM amplifiers are designed to see a high level signal at the input stage.....

actually I was running seperate amps for front and rear
the deck amp is located in a seperate module and has never been used. Is the audiocontrol overdrive preamp what you are talking about?
