my buddy has a 90 accord and wants to upgrade the crap out of the audio sysytem. right now hes got a audiobaun 1206t sub with a rockford amp ran with some 8 guage wiring. the amp is not enough to power this sub so we want to get an alpine MRD-M1001 any other suggestions for an amp? we also want to put a 4channel amp to power a set of compnents up front and some new speakers in back, something like an MRV-F340 V12. what kind of power wire should we be using for this set up? i know the 8 guage in there wont be able to handle that subwoofer amp. zero guage sounds to crazy but i dont know. also what kind of fuse are we looking at for the battery?

I would go with a 4 guage wiring kit if not a 0.   Really I wouldnt recommend the alpine amp for the sub.   I would go with something else along the lines of a fosgate or something not a d class amp

Use the existing 8 gauge for that 4 channel amp, and run a new 4 gauge for the sub amp.  And i wouldn't go w/ a class D amp for that one sub, unless it's dual voice coil.  Class D amps give u the most power at a 2 ohm load, so u'd be wasting 1/2 it's power if it's single voice coil.  I'd recommend a high power 2 channel amp, and bridge the sub 4ohm mono to get the most power.
