we had this car audio system for a while, few monhts. nothing wrong.

Drove down a street bumping the system.  1600 watt amp 2 channel

out to two 12's , Running at 4 ohmz  bridged.

all of a sudden, the music volume is lowered, and a constant thump sound is playing.
Turned off the headunit, it goes off/ turned on the headunit it goes back on.

we checked the wires, to be sure its clean, the power wire is str8.       The ground is clean.

The remote is excellent condition.    The speaker wires are not in any interference with anything.

We wanted to ask this before we touch the gains on the amp.

oh yeah, there DVC's.  Also the deck was stock, then replaced. Not sure if this info will help :  from deck, the rear speaker wires are connected to a sound gate - sound converter which will apply an rca output.     So from there, the rCA wire is connected to the amp.   The deck does have a subwoofer rca output, but the soundgate converter provides a distortion control (although its not good but its ok with me ^_^ )

we are not sure what seems to be the problem, out of the blues this weired constant thump is kicking.

Thanks your thoughts and ideas is really needed.

We would just like to really shoot the damn thing.

Try connecting your RCAs to the sub output on your deck and see if you still get it.

Well hey extremecurb it seems that you are correct, its amazing how you know this stuff. We destrody the case, and pulled out the deck. As we removed the rca from the soundgate you can hear a thump , when ever the rca were being tossed around near the harness and deck.

We plugged it ino the subwoofer rca control. and turned on the deck, VOILA! the thump is gone.

so we tried it back to the soundgate. its gone now. I'm not sure what the problem was. but its gone.

Thanks for your help. ! Awesome.
We were going to tear the entire wire off, and redo the power, ground remote wire. wow saved us alot of time and money.
