2001 Mustang Convertible

My system use to consist of the following:

Pioneer Premier DEH-D740MP headunit

JL Audio 300/4 amp

JL Audio XR 575csi component speakers

JL Audio 10W3v2 sub

Long story short, I had bad luck and now I only have my headunit left. I want to buy a new system, but I don't have $800 for a new system right now. I'm looking for a sub under $150 strickly for sound quality.

I had a JL 10W0 but I didn't really like it. Sounds sloppy compared to what the 10W3v2 sounded like. I listened to an Infinity Reference 10" but it was muddy. I'm going to go listen to the Infinity Kappa and Alpine R-Type today. Any comments or recommendations? Like I said, I'm going for sound quality. Thanks.

which amp are you going to use the push this sub? are you looking for a 2 ohm or 4 ohm sub? sounddomain.com sells the 10" infinity perfect vq sub (single 4 ohm) with slight cosmetic blemish on the magnet sticker for $150.00. great sq sub.

Don't know which amp yet, but probably JL or Alpine. I'll most likely be pushing only 150-200 RMS watts to it.
