Certain Head Units come with a specified wire for power antenna, and another wire for amplifier remote. However, there is some units that comes with only one wire for amplifier remote and no other wire for power antenna. In this case is hooking up the amplifier remote wire from the head unit to both power antenna and amplifier remote would be correct?

If yes, then the antenna motor would be getting current all the time the radio is on, don't that keeps the motor working trying to push the antenna out and burns it ? Isn't the motor supposed to get only few seconds of power from the radio once the radio is turned on in order to pull the antenna & then once antenna out the current cuts out from the radio to the power antenna?

If No, what is the right way of connecting the power antenna?

On most vehicles the power antenna has a automatic shut off circuit. Its ok to wire the amp remote output from the radio to both the amp and antenna. Its just when you are playing CD's the antenna will still be up, but thats no problem.
