I'm connecting two amps but it says: 1st RCA from amp1 - input from 1st amp to 2nd amp output then input from 1st amp to radio. The drawing will tell the story. Is this right? I'll be connecting a sub on the 2nd amp and component speakers on the first.

First amp Component speakers

--------------------| input (RCA) to radio

--------------------| output (RCA) to other amp

--------------------| input (RCA) A Subwoofer

--------------------| output (RCA) to nothing

Yes. The output is full range no matter whether you have a high pass filter used on the amp. The 2nd amp will get the full range signal, then you can filter it to the sub using the low pass filter.

Yes, thanks. Then I will follow the illustration pictured in the manual. I wasn't too sure. Oh, I've read.......don't run rca's and power cable together. Can you run both cables if the rca's are covered? The rca's are long, should I buy a shorter rca to connect both amps? What I'm doing right now is using the long one but looping it, like a rope that is being put away. Is that safe? Thank you for your help.

A short (6" to a foot) RCA makes a neater install, costs less, and is less prone to damage. Do NOT run the signal wires along with the power wire, no matter what. Maintain at least a 2 foot distance when running parallel to each other.

Damn........Now I have to take it out and start over. I had put the cover on the rca's next to the power wires. Thanks again you save me a whole mess of asprins for headaches. I guess I will be running the power wires on the left side and the rca's and the right side of the truck. I guess a shorter rca would be neater install. I'll buy it tomorrow. Thanks.
