I just installed a Factory Pioneeer HU out of a 04 sport trac into my 96 mustang, I bought all of the harnesses and converted them over. my question is when I turn on the unit it has very little sound, I ran it thru the factory amp(MACH 460) and when I unplug the connection for the amp I have no sound. that tells me that the amp is at least working some what. Any ideas why I don't have a good sound level?

first thing i would suspect is a signal level mismatch.... the Mach 460 amp is matched to a specific head unit.... have you tried using a line driver to increase the signal level before it hits the input stage of the amp?
