Power wire/firewall in 2001 Monte Carlo

Anybody done an install in a 2001 Monte Carlo and know a good spot to run the power cable through the firewall?

Yep, Look under the passenger side carpet. (I have a Grand Prix.. same body.. different look)
All you have to do is pull the carpet back... and look for a THICK set of wires comin from the firewall. I've seen guys run 0/1 guage wire through there.
Remove the rubber grommet thing and poke a hole in the seal w. a screwdriver or knife.. something sharp... but not TOO sharp... theres important engine components behind that grommet.
All you have to do now is run your power wire through that hole (id recommend you go from the inside of the car through the firewall... to the battery. )
With this way if running the power you dont have to drill any holes... and its pretty easy.
