Any one know what troubles to look for in changing decks?

putting an alpine ivad900 in this car

wondering if there are anythings that "run" through the radio *similar to data info or whatever

That vehicle is a MOST equipped fiber optic system. Pull the radio and you may also lose the amp. You will basically have to rewire everything if putting new head unit in there.

i figure on the optic   but thats  probably for the antenna..

or not ?

kinda figure on rewire too..   just kinda worried that if the unit is removed were gonna loose some heartbeat to somthing,

like the gm/delco/bosescrewingconsumer  partnership going on.. class i/ class ii b.s.

the fiber optics is for the audio system also, cd changer, possibly amp, factory cell phone, all that good stuff if car is equipped. The fiber optics start in the radio and it forms a loop through all those components and ends in the radio too. As far as if you pull the radio the car freaking out, that wont happen, so don't worry about that. Just tell the customer that it is a custom job and that it will take some time to do.
