Hi Guys,

A newbie here, I used to do alot of install 20 years ago....... when autoreverse was the big thing94 Sunbird stereo reinstall -- posted image. but got out of it.

I just bought a 94 Sunbird with a Sony xplode system in it. the istall is a complete butcher job, didn't even cover the twisted splices and the speaker wire looks like twist ties.

Now should I just pull it all out and start again, my old brain is telling me this. The system sounds like crap. Nothing blown but not set up write, what guage wiring should I be using to power and drive the sub and amp.

It probably sounds like crap because it is crap. Ditch that equipement and let us know on your budget for adding a new system. It shouldnta be hard to sell that whole system to some uneducated teenager.

Of course....start over, sounds to me like the person or persons that did the install originally, were a tad bit off base.

If you have the knowledge, get some peace of mind....

I can see why they left the system in the car when they sold it...
