Hey there, I have a Clarion DXZ715. I am trying to install a Sirius Sat receiver (SIR-CL1) however things are not going smoothly....
After attaching the CeNet cables/antenna etc... I dont think the deck is recognizing the Tuner...
I can tell that the unit is getting power (IE it gets warm after a few minutes) and there is SOME communication between the HU and the Receiver because If I flip the switch on the receiver then my deck does a reset.....
BUT I cant seem to get the deck to recognize the SIRCL1
does anyone have any suggestions? any one else using the same deck and tuner? The deck was shipped before Sirius really got going so there is no documentation with my HU for use with Sirius, BUT Clarion did put out an FAQ stating:

I can't remember the 715, does it have the "sat" button or sirius logo on it?

Nevermind, I found the info. In order to use sat radio with some earlier decks, you had to use the outboard controller / display DSH920S to control the unit and display information, the sound was tranfered to the deck via aux input rcas. I will check with tech on Monday to see if this is the case.

no, it doesn't have a "sat" button, dam.... I bought the clarion brand sirius unit because I was under the impression I could control it with my deck...   I would have gone for a portable unit If I had to buy the external controller....
-thanks man, well I guess this means I have an excuse to buy a new HU now....
