I just installed this unit in my 99 ram quad cab lastnight along with a sub and amp everything works great when only the radio is on, it wont play cd's through the speakers it will only play through the sub so when i put a cd in all i get is bass, but since the radio all works fine wouldnt it be somthing with the head unit. Any help would be much appreciated at this point thanks.

as you prolly have found out by now, you are using the wrong wire from the headunit to turn on your amplifier.

you need to use the blue wire with the white stripe to turn on all your amplifiers. the solid blue wire is meant to trigger the aerial circuit only and dies when you play a cd.

thus, the amp turns on on radio and turns of on cd.

Its not your head unit, you have a factory amp that you need to power up.  When you have the radio on, the power from the antenna wire turns on the factory amp, but when you switch to cd the antenna wire turnes off so nothing is powering your factory amp.  You need to find the factory amp turn on wire in the harness and run your amp turn on wire from the head unit to it.

You need to connect your sub amp turn on wire and the factory amp turn on wire to the blue with a white stripe wire (not blue solid blue like on other CD players) on your aftermarket head unit. This will keep the amps on when the radio is playing and when you switch to CD.

I'm pretty sure its a white wire in the factory harness that turns on the factory Infinity amps.

Sounds to me like you're not using an adapter harness, why not?  It'd give you all the wiring info you need, and plug-and-play.  Also, I have seen some higher end Alpine decks do what you experienced when only one remote turn on in the Alpine harness was used.  Not to get confused with the power antenna lead, but some decks actually have two turn on leads.  I know, it's weird, huh?
My ex once told me I have a perfect face for radio.
