Im doing a custom install for a lady friend of mine in her 2002 Civic Si, theres going to be 3 10" Type-R (2005 models), fed with 2500wrms, so im trying to match up some components up front to keep up.  She listens to rap and only rap, so they gota take a beating, and ideas? i was thinking the adire set.  Less than $300US is the budget as of now. I may end up making kick panel enclosures so possibly a 3 way set with mid bass in the doors.  P.S She's not allowed to get the type-X speakers cuz i wana be the only one haha

Well, my first impulse would be the Type X's. But since thats a no, get her the Adire's and drive it down here to Alabama so I can hear em.

XR JLs can take a massive beating. Personally I like the type Xs more ( I have them in my 69 Mercedes 280 SL ) but my rap listening, head bashing lead installer has the XRs and hasn't killed them yet. Drive to Caly after you hit Alabama! TCSS
