cva 1005 and no bass from sub

hey im installing my alpine cva 1005 and for some reason when I plug my sub into the brain im not getting any sound from it? but all my other speakers are fine my amp lights up and when it was plugged into my last deck it worked fine.  Im a total noob at this so any suggestions or comments may help

Is there anything ihave to do on the deck to get it to recognize it?

Look in your manual.  If I remember correctly, the factory default setting on the sub out is the off position.  Go through the setup menus until you find it.
My ex once told me I have a perfect face for radio.

I agree, Alpine's subwoofer default setting is OFF. In your manual, it should tell you how to adjust this. It is in the tone control settings IIRC.

I have one more question when i open my unit i looks like it doesnt flip up all the way?  It perpendicular to me but looks like it should flip up a bit more.  Is there an easy fix to this? or is it supposed to be like this?  I can push the screen back aways using my hand so im almost positive its having some type of problem?
