Hey bare with me as im new to the car audio scene and this is my first post...

Recently installing my new car kenwood stereo with a Sony Explode Amp.Upon looking for a ground we found a area that had a small spark and the amp powered on,we decided to use that spot as out ground (Remote on & RCA already hooked up). So after hooking up the sub we no longer have the amp powering on.Testing with the multimeter shows the amps ground terminal to power terminal is fine and power terminal to the end of the ground cable is fine and from the power terminal to the spot we used as ground is fine but the amp will not power on nor does it spark when we touch it with the ground wire. All fuses are fine all we did was hook the sub up any suggestions or ideas let me know thanks in advance.

First and Foremost, never hook up any 12V equipment when it is powered up, the spark thing kinda gets me. Take your meter, ground the com lead to the amps ground, then take the red lead to power wire and get a reading, then take the red lead to the turn on lead and get a reading with the radio turned on. If both have +12V then take the red lead to the fuses on the amplifier itself. If those have power then it doesn't sound good. Post your results.
