I have a question maybe someone can lead me in the right direction or help me out. I need to know the stereo wiring on a Chevy S10. You know what the colors mean and everything like that. If anyone could help that would be wonderful.

Orange 12volt constant, yellow 12volt switched, black ground, gray illum.,lt green RF+,dk green RF-, tan LF+, gray LF-, dk blue RR+, lt blue RR-, brown LR+, yellow LR-. Sometimes the 12 volt switched is dk green, but you can tell which one it is because it's next to the constant.

Ok, This is the problem I'm having. I have a red wire on the stereo I just bough and it said it was a Turn On +ACC Now do I hook that up to my orange wire. I don't have any red wires. So that is what is tripping me up. Thank YOU SO MUCH!!

No, the red lead should go to 12 volt switched. The orange on the truck should go to the yellow on the deck.To make easier, go to a stereo shop and get a Metra 70-1858 harness. This will match colors for you.

Ok Thank You I was just matching color to color, and that was about it. HA! 2000 S10 Stereo Wiring -- posted image.

So does it matter that when I took my other stereo out that I cute the little plastic pieces off it that was holding the wires?

No as long as your new connections are well insulated. I use crimp caps but "butt connectors" will work well too.
