anyone know what the differences are in the stereos? i need an aftermarket kit to install aftermarket radio, all wires seem the same in 2003 kit, kit fits, so what am i missing? anyone have advice and or first hand knowledge?

This isn't firsthand, but I'm betting they're exactly the same.  This line was due for extinction by 2004 and so I can't imagine there was any re-engineering for this final model.
Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.

The only change I can think of is in 04 they moved the passenger airbag light to the radio bezel; no kits available to replace that as far as I know. Removing the factory piece and unplugging that light will trip the warning light on the dash.
Life moves pretty fast; if you don't stop and look around once in a while; you could miss it.

Do a search for this information as I believe I remember a thread about the bypass of the airbag light somewhere.
