Hi guys, i have a question, a friend of mine have a Toyota Camry, and he has 2 Audiobahn Eternal series dual voice coil 1100 watt rms and 1 A2300HCT Amplifier that is 2400 Watt rms at 1ohm mono. My question is, if that amp is 1 ohm stable or not, because right now he have them wired at 2ohm (each sub) and at stereo mode, it is an 2ch amp. one the manual of the amp it say that at 2ohm stereo it is 2x 600 watt rms and at 1ohm mono it get 2400W rms, but when they wired the subs(2ohm each) in parallel so that it is 1 ohm and then birdge it on the amp so that it get 2400 watt rms, it doesn't sound so hard and it take a lot of power but no hard sound he have an 160/180 Ampere ohio Alternator also, what can be the problem? is the manual of the amp right? because it say that it is 1x 2400 watt rms at 1ohm, but on the wire diagram on the same manual it say that it is bridgeble from 2 to 8 ohm, so what is true of all about this? or that amp isn't for those Eternal Series? thanks guys.

The amp is Audiobahn.   We tested this amp and it did just a little bit over 1300 at 1ohm....And thats Peak
The Amp has 4 40 amp fuses, that should be your first clue
Per ohms law you can figure it out for yourself
160amp's of fusing with a constant 14 volts...no drops what so ever. at an 80% efficency rating( Which is way off from audiobahn's real eff.)
is 1792watt's Peak at a constant 14 volts with no dips what so ever
Like I said, under our testing we came to just barly over 1300 peak
Look into a quality amp that you can figure out if it really produces its power
We currently run (2) Kicker xs100's   They both require an 150 amp fuse per amp, for a 50x2 amp
We have tested 1140 WRMS for one and 1220WRMS out of the other
Look at fuse rating, general rule of thumb is that the amp will produce [(fuse rating)x10]-(20% for efficency of 80% which is high for most amps)

The Kickers I referd to are actually a 2 channel amp
but yes.
The Kicker KX1200.1 Refurb model from hifisoundconnection.com is about $300
The Jbl 1200.1 is a very good amp for the money, I am not sure on the price
The POwer Acoustik Z1x3000d is a very very powerful amp for the money, but they are very current hungry...upgraded alt and batteries are needed
Any old kicker product is a power house but very hungry.
Kicker XS/ZR amps
The Crossfire 1000d's are very very powerful strapped.   We ran a pair strapped at USACI world finals
You can typically find them for $350 each on ebay
The Fusion amps make very close to thier rated power
The new rockford amps exceed thier rated power!
Thats just a few That I can think of off hand
