I am only running on set of 2 cold cathode tubes.  Can i tap into the amps power?  I really dont want to run a new set of power wire for these lights.

running 4 gauge to the sub, i guess the easiest way is how i have it - screwed in with the power wire into the amp.

any other easy fixes?

it is the jbl gto series amp, you can put neon's inside it, pretty slick - remember the pics i showed you?

could i use a ground distribution block to split the power cable, and connect the lights there to make the actual amp wiring look better?

Yes, you can use amp power.  You can use the trunk light wires to activate a relay, that way the neons come on whenever the trunk is opened.
