hey guys!

i have a 1997 chevy cavalier regular ole joe 2.2L 2 door coupe. currently it has a stock cassette am/fm radio, i want to upgrade to a 1997 chevy cavalier cd player stock radio from a 1997 cavalier Z24. will this transfer correctly with no problem. same width and height! thanks any info is greatly appreciated.

I have the bottom one in my blazer, and my girlfriend has the top one in her cavalier. I am just judging by the pictures that fitment would definatly not be an issue. Worst case scenario you need to cut a couple wires. both of those links have pictures of the backs. so you make the call. It can work somehow or another for sure tho. good luck.

thanks for that info!

it appears everything is fine except for the placement of the antenna port? correct? what kind of tool should i use to remove the old head unit? im new to audio and electronics.

when i took mine out all i needed was to remove dash, and metric #7 i believe it was. theres 2 screws, one on each side, then slide her out. be prepared to Possssibly*** have to go to the dealer to unlock the new head unit if something trips the theft system.
