Hello, new to the forum, great topics. I have a 1998 4runner with "premium" sound system. It looks like there is a component speakers in the front, mid in door and tweeter in front corner triangle front window and rear has a 5 1/2 i am assuming full range speaker. Does anyone have any info on this speaker set up specs etc? I presume the fronts have crossovers on the mid and tweeter and the rear is a ful range, but I cannot find any specs anywhere and I really don't want to find out by ripping the door panels off. I would like to by my speakers first. I have a pair of MB Quart 6 1/2's I would love to use but may not be able to. If anyone can help, I would be very appreciative. Thanks.

Go to Crutchfield.  It'll have the speaker sizes there.
That's my opinion. Take it, leave it, or correct me.

There is no crossover, one set of speaker wires goes into the door and splits into two for the tweeter and the mid. I believe the tweet has a cap on it to defeat the lows. If you don't want to get a component set, you can replace the mid with a coax, it receives a full signal.
Life moves pretty fast; if you don't stop and look around once in a while; you could miss it.
