I installed a pioneer in dash unit in my 2004 GMC 1500 I put the wiring adapter for the cm door chime system in. Every once and awhile the chime will come on when I turn key on like normal but then it won't shut off, even after the tuck is started. I will even kill the truck open and shut the door with keys out look with remote and the chime is still going off, I have came back to my car hours later and the chime is still going.  Also when I first put they key in for awhile my drivers side speakers don't work. and when it's stuck in the chime mode only the passenger speaker works.

i' ve a Metra  unit do that on me... just a bum module, replace it and you'll be good to go... Metra usually replaces these N/C assuming it's not super old.....
