i have a avic-d1 that i want to try to fit in my durango slt+. anybody have experiance with what i need to modify  to make it fit it.  looks like it will with a little help or should i just sell it and buy a new unit. moneys tight right now.  thanks

You will definately have to file out your dash.  I'm not real familiar with the D1 so I'm not sure of all the connections on the back, but you may have to cut out some plastic to get it to slide back far enough.

took the dash apart today to much cutting for me need to cut out part of 2 different pieaces of metal plus part of the dash and maybe the vents  going to sell the d1 and get the n3 later just sucks ive only had the avic-d1 for 6 months and really liked it  just hope i can find somebody to buy it   thanks for the reply
