So everytime I get everything working, I have a really happy week and then something breaks.
So I hit a pothole the other night, and while my tire escaped unscathed, the bump seems to have knocked out my sub-amp! My JLe1800d immediately cut out... but upon closer inspection, like touching the cone with your hand, you could still feel a little movement coursing through the speakers..
I tried new RCA's, same thing, and now I hooked up a different subwoofer (a JLw3) and, of course, same thing.
Anywho.. I've never killed an amp before and I mailed all my tools to Colorado in anticipation of a move.. so I'm a little lost as to where to proceed..
Do amps blow like this? The little green power led comes on and no protection led on or anything..
Anyone (ahem, tcss) know a ballpark price range/turnaround for JL stuff?

JL's suggestes retail for amp repair on an E-1800 is $170. There's room to haggle a little bit. I've found that JL's turnaround is about a week.
There is no such thing as free installation!
