When i turned my ignition off on my 91 dodge stealth R/T TT, i noticed that my radio did not shut off, and neither did my radar detector in my cigarette lighter. I also noticed that my amps still have power. When I was driving before this happened, I heard my capacitor beep like it was losing power for about three seconds, then it stopped. Any Ideas????

Do your dash lights, etc., stay on as well?  There's a short somewhere that's backfeeding power into the accessory circuit.  Have you by any chance done the retained accessory power (RAP) mod: https://www.the12volt.com/relays/page5.asp#drto?  If so, you could have a stuck relay or a problem with the door trigger.  Otherwise, you'll probably have to start unplugging/disconnecting stuff to isolate the problem.  For example: if you unplugged the radio, and the radar detector shut off, that tells you that the radio probably has an internal short.

I'm guessing your capacitor has a digital display?  Is there an accessory hookup required for the display to light up?  If so, disconnect that and see if your problem goes away.  I'm not sure about the beeping (low voltage maybe?- check your manual).

My ex once told me I have a perfect face for radio.

Thanks greatly for the help. But, as embarassing as it is. I had a very simple problem. One of my amps 12 volt wires, was touching at the remote turn on mount. I would have NEVER thought that would cause problems like this though. Stupid me, always trying to get to the complex point, I over look the simplest... lol But I do appreciate the help though.
