I'm getting ready to put in a Pioneer Z1 in this '04 C230. Everything looks to be pretty standard on it.  V.W. harness/ant adapter.  The stereo was equiped with the cell phone and also a changer.  The only thing I'm not sure of as far as purpose is there are two fiberoptic cables that are in one plug.  Are these for the cd changer?  The changer is being removed so no biggie if thats what they are.  If anyone knows for sure a response would be great!

Thanks,

Jared

The fiber optic plugs are for CD changer and cell phone and some times even your amplifier. If the amp is on the fiber optic loop then you have to rewire, if not then it is not a big deal to change the radio.

on 04 c class it is a straight foward install. The fiber optic is only for the phone and changer
