speaker hide

I've been seeing alot of custom walls in trunks lately to hide the subs.  I would imagine since they effectivly close off the trunk, limiting airspace, that SPL will be affected.  My question is, how would you get the wall to stay in place?  I can't even keep anything from vibrating off my console, let alone keep a wall right in front of the subs!  Any ideas?Squirrel

Lots of angle's, and bracing, or one neat but tricky trick that I have seen someone do was put expanding foam to the ceiling while it is wet they put a sheet already cut to fit up there and held it till it dried. One problem that they encountered with that was that the foam sucked in the roof a little. Sound Pressure

Thanks for the info.  I think I'd try the bracing first.  Do you know how much it would affect SPL?Squirrel

Where you brace just make sure that you give back the box in internal volume to make sure that your sound is not affected.Sound Pressure
