I have a 2000 Chevy Silverado. One of the 6 1/2 mid bass drivers busted in the door. I want to replace it. Before taking out the old one, I wanted to find out if it's going to be a 4ohm or 8ohm speaker. Since it's paired with a tweeter, I think it is an 8ohm unit. However, people have been replacing it with a 4ohm 2-way or 3-way setup with good results. Please let me know what's in there from the factory. It'll help me choose what I'm going to buy.

It should be a 4 ohm speaker. It will likely be labeled on the magnet. You need speaker adaptors to mount new ones. You can buy them or make them.
