I had a Viper 7900 installed in my 2007 Tahoe with a DEI 1701g and had a few questions for those who have aftermarket alarms and starts. Just a little info my truck did have a OEM remote start also and the biggest reason I added the remote start was for better range and a longer run time. When I remote start it still only runs for 8 minutes which is the same as the factory, and after it times out I can not remote start the vehicle again. Is there a way to extend factory run time? I also cant disable the remote start with the remote or the brake while its running like any other remote start. If anybody has input on these it sure would be helpful.   Thanks

The OEM remote starter is a program and remote FOB, that's it. The last one that I installed ( it was a Compustar system ) the truck also have an OEM remote start and it ran for 15 minutes.
