2007 gmc sierra 1500 with viper 160xl and gmsl2 bypass module battery runs down while snow plowing if truck sits over night it needs to be jump started. dealers says it is the remote starter causing the problem. viper installer says it is the vehicle. any suggestions would be helpfull

Pretty easy and fun to find out what it is... Do some simple amp draw tests-- or even easier- pull the inline fuses for the remote start one night-(they will be on the red wires leading to the main brain box- under the dash- see if truck starts in the morning....if it does- it is the remote- if not look elsewhere..With amp-draw test you need to put a DVM inline with the battery and start pulling fuses one at a time- until you find which circuit is draining you-- Only need to look at battery "hot" circuits-
