What would I have to do to make an aftermarket car alarm system work along side my vehicle's OEM security system?

Just piggyback the necessary wires from the new alarm system to the OEM system. What year, make & model GM are you refering to ?

Is up to the installer to test all wires with a DMM whenever possible.

Sorry about that...1997 Nissan Pathfinder, and the car alarm is a Boomerang/aka Aladdin. I am still reading through this forum, where it said if I select to use the Remote Start feature. I will have to make some special connections to have my new alarm system disarm the OEM system, inorder to remote start the vehicle without setting off the new car alarm? I would appreciate all your the advice, and suggestions.
