2003 Silverado 2500HD diesel - Autopage RS-622LCD - 1700g

Install works except for the following problem.

Oil pressure and fuel guages not working while in remote start mode and the battery light is on. Everything works properly after the key is turned on and the brake pedal pushed. I did a search on the site and on the web and could only find this post where the question was never answered. https://www.the12volt.com/installbay/forum_posts.asp~TID~100318~PN~3

I had trouble selecting the correct wire to hook up the GWR 1700g to autopage. The two choices were BROWN / Black grounded while in remote start mode and the olther was Pink program A3

I chose to hook up the BROWN / Black

Thank You Clint

Which wires did you hook up in the ignition harness? Do you have both the pink and the white powered as ignition? Did you hook up the brown or the orange accessory wire?
As far as your GWR is concerned, if your RS is working (as it sounds like it is) the passlock II is bypassed properly so it appears as if you have the correct GWR from the RS.
Installer, IT support, and FFL. I need less hobbies.

All of the wire colors are the trucks not the rs-622

I hooked up Pink ignition 1, White Ignition 2 and Orange for accessory

Yellow for the starter

2 Reds 12volt constant

I did not hook up to the brown accessory wire

It should work fine without the brown wire powered up.
Test the truck's pink, white, and orange wires for power during remote start. Verify that the climate controls work during remote start.
Again, test, with a light or meter, probed into the truck's wires. Not visually.
This way, all in one shot, you'll verify if you have good/bad connections, and good/bad outputs from the remote starter.
Also, make sure the white wire continues to receive power during crank. It should be powered as an ignition, not as an accessory.

Do the guages work fine when started with the key?  When you disconnect the battery on Chevy's sometimes the instrument cluster will act odd afterward.  Resetting the vehicles computer by disconnecting the battery for 20 minutes should resolve this issue.  However if it is only happening during remote start then I would suspect one of the ignition wires isn't being powered up.  If you are using T-taps make sure the spade went into the tap.  Testing the vehicles ignition wires while remote started as suggested above will tell you if that's the problem.

It only happens during remote start but does not happen exactly the same every time. I will do the tests as described and unhook the batterty for 20 minutes also.

I soldered all of the connections that I made and used a t harness for the ignition wires so I hope all is well with the connections.
