I have someone who wants me to put an lcd screen in his gauge cluster to display vehicle info, including the speedometer ( like an '08 Mercedes S550). Ive been looking all over the internet for this with no luck. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

is it like a onboard monitor (like apexi) if so you will need to get vss wires, tach, power, oil, etc and its gonna be super fun finding all those wires.

What kind of a vehicle is this for?  That would really help us help you locate one.

Something like this?

There is no speedo, but I can still display quite a bit of aftermarket info on the OEM navi screen of my '04 G35 coupe.

I'm using this to process the info from my engine management system and display it through an RGB converter to the screen:
