I am installing a remote starter in my new truck.  This is Ford's new 6.0 Liter Diesel, I have downloaded the color codes from techweb/wiremagic, they are not accurate.  The big trouble we are having is finding a tach sensor wire.  We pulled the air filter and looked beneath it and found nothing.  Any help would be appreciated, also any problem with door locks?  This is a 4 door crew cab with keyless entry.

Thanks

Michael

Is this what you have for info?:
On diesel vehicles the tach wire is green or white, in a 42 pin plug under the clamp on the engine side of the air intake duct.
This is all I have for that.
As for the door locks this is what I show:
With keyless entry use WHITE/ red for lock and BLACK/ white for unlock. They are negative trigger and found at the VSM. On the vehicles with keyless entry the GEM shuts down after the doors have been locked for a certain time period, you need to wake up the GEM for the doors to unlock.
Email me if you want the diagram on how to 'wake-up' the system.

Easier place to find tach.................. on the left side of the steering column, there is a big bundle of wires.  Taped to the OUTSIDE of this bundle is four wires that stubb out, taped at the end from the factory.  Use the GRN/WHT wire for tach.  I did an 03 a few weeks ago, works perfect, and in an easy place to get to.
