I have run into a problem that I am not sure how to solve, I installed a Hornet 560T into my 99 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited. Everything seems to work fine but when I start the vehicle with the remote, it trys to restart it again and makes a terrible not as the starter is engaged.  I have located the tach wire at the coil pack and used ( what I have been told was any brown striped wire works) the brown striped  wire.  The tach learning on this unit states that if it does not see the tach voltage it will use the battery voltage.  I used the trouble shooting guide for the tack learning it states:

To program tachometer mode, start the engine and let it run for

at least 30 seconds. If the tachometer is seen by the control

module, it will enter tachometer mode, and will monitor the

tachometer input for the next startup.

This has not worked any thoughts or ideas?

If it fails to start in tach mode, it then reverts automatically to voltage sense. This causes it to try to start when it's already running or it will start then shut down within 15 seconds.

You might have to do a complete reset as per instructions and try learning tach again.

Prepare your future. It wasn't the lack of stones that killed the stone age.
