I bought this truck last year and it came with 2 old style keys. No remote entry or lock. The key must go in the door and turn to open. The anti-theft system is factory as far as I can tell. The only aftermarket part I found was blue  that had FIAMM on it. It was grounded to the chasis and positive is a 12v supply from someplace. Looks like an amplifier.

I was working under the dash and thought I might have to pull the steering colum. I started to unhook plugs and when I unhooked a 2-wire plug the theft circuit was triggered and the horn went off along with the theft light on the dash. The wires go to the key cylinder on the column. I had to disconnect the neg side of the battery. But the theft circuit will not clear. I had the neg side of the battery off for 12 hours and still the same thing. I hear a relay clicking in the engine compartment and is in sync  with the theft light. Other things work as they should, head lights, dome light, blinkers etc but the starter must be disabled.

Is there a module someplace to reset? I work on all my vehicles but this is the first time with an alarm. I am at a loss.

Thanks

Brian

KISS, something I didn't do.

Put the neg side on the bat, closed the p-side door, put key in lock, turn to lock, turn to unlock, open door, viola so more active theft. How simple?
