I'm installing a CodeAlarm 440 remote starter in my '05 Explorer.  I've followed the manual and other docs I could find online, but still have a few questions about connections:

(1) Ignition2:  All of the documentation I've been able to find doesn't show an Ignition2 wire, yet when I called the CA tech line, he said yes is does: gray / YELLOW.  There was a gray / YELLOW in the steering column harness, but it was coming directly from the ignition switch.

(2) Parking Lights:  Docs said it was a brown wire at the switch.  There are two brown wires at the switch - does it matter which one I use?

(3) Tach wire:  I spliced into the left bank rear coil  - does it matter which lead I splice into?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

you need to get a hold of a DMM and test these wires that you have mentioned. the colors you say are there are the correct wire colors you need, but once you test them you are going to answer all the questions you just asked all on your own.
