Just wondering if most the people here skip hooking up the 3rd ignition wire on chevy vechicles to power the a/c blower and what not? I just installed a unit in a 1500 and using the supplied wiring sheet from this site didn't hook up the 3rd ignition wire and his truck doesn't get warm or cold. Is it usual for those out there to not bother with it?

You need to power the PINK ( Primary ignition ) & the WHITE ( second ignition ) but the BROWN wire is optional as it controls the wipers and other things. If your not getting the ACC to work, then it's probably not your IGN rather your ACC wire(s) need to be energized. What year is the vehicle ?

2001 Silverado. Everything powers up but the blower. Haven't tried the wipers.

Check to make sure that your ACC wire coming from the RS actually has 12 volts after remote start. I know that some systems you can program the time from the start up to the time the blower motor engages. Check the programming to ensure that this is the case, if so, program the time to 0 or 5 seconds after start up.
