i just got a COMPUSTAR 2W900FMAS, and im want to install it... from what ive read on the wiring diagrams they all say i need to install an actuator in the drivers side. I have automatic door locks operated by the drivers side door, is that why i have to install it? i cant seem to find any good directions in installing them, and im wondering why i need one, and how a good how to install it if i do. Thanks in advance.

The reason why you need an actuator isbecause the system you have is called a central locking system that operates by moving the door lock/unlock mechanism and not controled via a switch. If you use your key to lock and unlock the door from the outside, the passengerside will also lock and unlock so you have to replicate this by installing an actuator on the driver's side door switch. Wire up two relays to the actuator from the Compustar and your set.
