I have a Viper 5901 installed on a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee.
I have everything installed exept the Viper is not integrating with the locks.
I am getting a signal driectly from the brain with the remote and also on Org/prpl pnk/prpl from the pass door.
how can I find out where the issue is?

I tested the end of the wire that is connected to the brain and the signal is good.

the meter jumps to 12v on lock and -12v on unlock

the same voltages when connected to the wires that the guide has.

when the lines are soldered (or just connected, they are desoldered now) there is only a faint signal when the remote is pressed but still a strong signal when the switch on the door is pressed.

thank you for your help in advance

You're not trying to connect the lock/unlock wires from the Viper directly to the lock/unlock motor wires inside one of the doors are you?
But it seems the outputs from the Viper at least haven't been smoked yet.
You need to wire up two relays inside each door, and 5-wire all the motor wires.....or just get yourself a doorlock module made for that car, which works better and saves lots of time.
The Grand Cherokee was very popular, and there is a lot of information here about it. The search feature should find you what you need.

Some notes/guide tell you you can use wires at switch in either door. The colors he mentioned are the switch colors in passenger door...Ive never done this, and have always used a by-pass that does door locks and RF by-pass like the XK-531...But i think the XK01 does door locks through data on those.
