I have a 93 olds cutlass supreme.i"m installing a sidewinder 7000hf.i have almost everything on except nowhere could i find this model anywhere on the web.I know that most models have the same wiring and i have looked at several to help me.But i haven't seen any diagrams illistrating how to hook up the door locks, except just the type a b c d wiring .but on my 8 pin harness i have a puple and PURPLE / black wire connected by fuse and dont know where it goes and if it supplies power to doorlocks.so where does that wire tap in.i would greatly appreciate any clues..thanks and this is a great website to help with almost everything

I'm pretty sure thats the equivalent of a Viper 700.  The purple and PURPLE / Black wires are the input for the door lock relays.

The purple and PURPLE / black gets connected to constant +12Volts

The GREEN/ Black is the locks output and connects to the Lt. Blue lock wire in the drivers or pass kick and the

Blue/Black is the unlock output, connects to the Black unlock wire in the kick

To test the unit, just hook it up to power and ground.  Then you can use the transmitters to check for arm and disarm.  It should work fine.  Being in a couple of different vehicles does'nt mean anything.

thanx a bunch mark .i'm gonna jump on that.got another one for you.my domelights i would like to hook up and that would be the whole system.ok some places i read has said you have to get a relay or diode.some say you don't.anyway ive try tapping in behind the dimmer switch but couldn't get a reading for my lights.tried going into my fuse box and its to cramped to get to anything.then in my passanger side trim work and found three wires orange black and white, clipped orange it only turned out my review lamps but my back two where still on.so where do i tap in the easiest do i need a relay and one domelight wire says common and the other says open which do i connect  or is it both.thanxs a bunch and im an artist maybe i could do something for helping me .

For domelight convenience, use the White wire for your door trigger (found low in the kick, or at the headlight switch).  You have to send a (-) ground to that wire THRU a relay, do not connect the BLACK/ White from the alarm directly.

Open the module, there should be an antenna comming out of the module.  Either a single wire, or a connector plugged inside the module.
