ford wiring color codes

I am rebuilding a fiesta si 16v with the 1.6 zetec engine from the xr2i. If that wasn't complicated enough(only in production for 2 years) the previous owner has ripped the central locking out and installed ford locks from various unknown vehicles! I have managed to repair most of the wiring harness but the locks are throwing me. The drivers door lock has part number 5028 190. It is five wire...1:GnBk 2:Bk 3:Bn 4:S 5:V(s being grey and v being purple).  The back doors are of a two wire type. Before I ripped out his mess all but one door worked, and yes I know I should have noted the wiring befor but it was a mess and I didn't think I was looking at a wiring harness let alone the wrong one. My harness calls for a 4 wire system and the color codes are totaly different. If anybody can id this lock and tell me the code for these 5 wire I should be able to get it all working again. I was just rereading that ....to be clearer ..........I need to know which color is live, which is ground, which is signal to the back door and what the other color wires are doing?

Red will be live, brown ground, if I remember white and yellow were the motor wires, come to think of it be carefull, Ford swapped their locking systems alover the place in the 80s and 90s.  They only standardised in 98 with the Focus.

Brown is the GROUND, two of those are motor wires and the other two are triggers, I think neg because of the brown, therefore it's a standard 5 wire motor. Take a meter, set to ohms or continuity test, one probe to brown, one to each of the wires in turn, movethe pushing part up and down, one wire in each case will be commonto the brown.

yeah cheers for that. small problem...this five wire was running without a relay and it was wired to two two wire motors and one four wire motor from god knows what! My solution....rip the whole lot out and start again with four motors that match. I think I can take it from here.
