I bought a viper 5901 alarm setup and a directed 508D dual zone proximity sensor.
couple questions:
1) the plug on the proximity sensor has no place to go into the 5901..do I need an adapter?
2) the 5901 has an onboard shock sensor..where would be the best place to put the module? I wanted to use the plastic box next to the ecu for my module, but I had no idea the sensor would be onboard

I see the 4 pin plug, but the connector doesnt fit. Can I buy an adapter to make it fit?

Yes it does the larger connector fits the 508d, the smaller the alarm, positioning doesn't matter as long as it's kept still, either velcro, double sided or cable tied.

i usually use a zip tie and fasten it to anything that is sturdy because it seems to transfer vibrations better.

I used the bigger side on the 508d but the smaller side will not fit on the 5901...

yes i had the same issue, i think there is an adapter that plugs into the port, what i did was hard wire the sensor, basically cut the plug and get your ground 12 volts and trigger wire

On the brain itself, it has the D2d port where the sensor should plug right in but  the plug does not match up with the smaller sensor plug , well not sure if I missed something too, but it was odd that the port and plug didnt match up. Anyone else has any input?
