if you had the following choice to connect to the parking lights what would you choose?
1. connect (-) polarity through the factory alarm plug (factory alarm not being used).
2. connect (+) polarity at the light switch.

I'm connecting a remote starter. the remote starter has parking light output is (+) polarity. but i can easily add a relay to change that. so what i'm asking is regardless of your sources polarity (remote starter, alarm, keyless entry, etc.) is one connection preferred over the other?

What vehicle ? Some vehicles it is recommended to use the (-) over the (+) because it will fry the BCM..... Kia & some Hyundai's for example.
