wiring linear actuators to alarm

1995 fleetwood viper 5900 ok here goes, i have 2 linear actuators hooked up in the trunk of my car to raise and lower the trunklid. its hooked up on a momentary switch. the trunk raises untill the switch is released, same with lowering im trying to figure a way to wire to the alarm, i have a few channels like 4 and 5 available. problem is if the trunk opens to the bump stops, the actuators still have extending room and if pressed will damage the hinges, same thing with lowering. it will pull it down severely tight if not carefull. how do i go about controlling the trunk from the remote with out it automatically opening and over-opening and closing the trunk

Are you using the switch to trigger 2 relays?  If so, have output 4 trigger one of the relays.  Output 5 will trigger the other.   If you are not using relays, you will need to.

The wires labeled to 3 wire switch for up and down will connect to your alarm's output and to your switch that manually opens and closes the lid.

You may want to look into installing limit switches so that when the lid reaches the limit, the switch will break the circuit to that relay.

Just a thought, use a 530t instead of normal relays, you keep your switch and the built in adjustable limiters via DIP switches will cut out at travel's end.

yea i figured i would have to use limit switches just had to check to see if there was any other options out there

Read my post again, the 530t is load sensitive. adjust it properly and you won't need limit switches.

yea i got you on that, I already have a 530T on my front windows using channel 2. just trying to figure things out here. if i get another 530T and hook it channel 4 it will go up but only come down if i arm the alarm right. maybe can get some clarification using the 530T, might be having a brain fart right now.
